Postdoctoral Fellowship 2021: Open Call for Applications

The National Agency of Research and Development (ANID; Chilean NSF) has opened the 2021 call for Postdoctoral researchers. This call aims to stimulate scientific productivity and leadership among researchers who have obtained a PhD. degree in the last three years, promoting their incorporation into consolidated research groups which may be strengthened with their contribution.

The Research Center on Cognitive Sciences (cicc.utalca.cl) at Universidad de Talca is committed to making a contribution in the training of new researchers in fields such as cognitive science, artificial intelligence, developmental and behavioral psychology. For this purpose, 3 postdoctoral student positions have been opened for those interested in developing research between one or more of the following lines of research:

• Psychobiological and relational predictors of adaptation and psychopathology in the human life cycle.
• Cognitive, neural and relational dynamics of reasoning, language, and learning.
• Basic and translational research in perception, memory, and attention processes.

Duration:
2 to 3 years.

Who can apply:
Chilean and foreign researchers who obtained or are obtaining their PhD. grade between January 1st 2017 and October 20th 2020 and reside in Chile at the time of application.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a PhD in areas such as Computer Sciences, Psychology, Psycholinguistic, Philosophy, Cognitive Sciences, Cognitive Neurosciences, Behavioral and Social Sciences, among others with a focus on cognitive processes, developmental psychology, psychopathology, experimental procedures and/or data analysis. Candidates should be familiar with software like Python, Matlab, E-Prime, R-Studio or basic knowledge in coding. Experience using Eye-Tracking or EEG devices is preferred but not necessary. Candidates should be able to effectively communicate their research activities to a multi-disciplinary research team of psychologists, philosophers, computer engineers, neuroscientists and data scientists.
